Yesterday my wife and I decided that, in the evening, we'd head out to the cinema. We've both been working pretty hard recently and a night off at the pictures would be perfect. Then we remembered that it was Thursday night - Life Group night! So we put our plans on ice and joined the rest of our Life Group for an evening of fellowship, prayer and studying God's Word. And we had a fantastic time!
When my wife and I got home, we had a card from a friend of ours. 'I've bought you some cinema tickets,' the card said, 'I thought you'd enjoy it because you've both been working hard.'
I know it's a tiny, tiny thing but it nevertheless reminded me of how good God is! When we put him first in our lives, we never miss out on anything. 'No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.' (Psalm 84:11)
Enjoy your weekend!
